Little Daisy's Boutique Review and Giveaway - CLOSED

I have had the opportunity to try out some absolutely beautiful bows from Little Daisy's Boutique and I have to say, I AM IN LOVE!  Little Daisy's Boutique began when Danielle decided to make bows for her baby girl. When the business started taking off less than a year ago, Danielle decided to expand to include other accessories (tutus, hats, paci holders) and some baby boy items. Danielle also runs another online boutique for older girls and women called Limitless Beauty Boutique which featurea versatile and multifunctional bows. Dani enjoys staying home with her daughter and getting to have a creative outlet. She tries to use original ideas for most of my products, however some things are too cute to pass up.  Danielle appreciates the creativity of others and loves spending time sharing ideas.

I received 3 bows and a headband (white in the photos) to review!

This is the Callie Bow.  I have to say that I ADORE this bow!  ADORE!!!
I mean, how cute is this!

I have to say that I think that "character" hair clips are are absolutely adorable!  I really love this little Bumble Bee Clip and think it is perfect for a Spring/Summer (even Fall) outfit!  The only problem that I had with this bow is that my baby girl decided she did not want to wear it and pulled on it's wings and they came off.  Having said that, this is not the first time that she has pulled a bow apart and it is a very simple fix!

Eating dirt and looking cute as a button!  The Cassie Flower Clip is made from felt and comes in 3 different colors!  *NOTE - Apparently Danielle only has 2 more of these left due to a Supplier issue - if you want one I would suggest hopping on it fast!  These clips are only $2.50 a piece.

This sweet bow is called the Penny Bow (named after Thing 2)
Ms. Ren Pen wearing the Penny bow!
**For a limited time you can have a bow made specifically for and named after your daughter!  If interested, send Danielle a few fun tidbits about your daughter (fav color, style) and Dani will create a custom bow just for your daughter!  As if that is not awesome enough, you will get 25% off of your custom bow!**

This is the headband that I received!  The headband is thick lace and has a bow attachment spot on it.  I have to admit that I was skeptical that I would actually like this, UNTIL I GOT IT!  I love this headband.  It allows me to attach a bow to it with ease and it is perfect!  This headband comes in three different sizes, but is only available in white (otherwise I would have one in every color).

I love the fact that Little Daisy's Boutique is almost always having some sort of special sale going on, even though the prices are truly fit for almost any budget!  There are several promotions going on at the current time.

Back to School Sale!
Send your girls to school in style with matching bows for some of their fun new outfits!
BUY any 6 bows or flowers and GET any ONE bow or flower of your choice for FREE! (of equal or lesser value)

5 lessons every child should learn

1.  To be polite.  This includes, please and thank you, yes ma'am no ma'am (I am a Southerner after all), to share, to wait patiently, and many many more!

2.  That everyone is different and yet we are all the same.  I think that so often people forget to teach their children that while people are different that we are really have something fundamentally the same about us.  It is important to remind our children when they say something negative about a person because they are different that it is OK to be different.

3.  That we love them.  This should be simple enough, but I have known of families that do not say I love you.  Can you imagine being a child and not hearing your parents tell you that they love you.  It is also so fundamentally important that we not only tell them that we love them, but that we ACT like we love them.  We need to hug, kiss, say congrats, good job, you are wonderful, and you are doing a good job!

4.  To work hard.  I look around me and often think that people expect things to come to them just because.  I think that it is an important lesson to teach our children that good things happen when you work hard.  If you want a good job, you have to work hard.  If you want to play soccer well, you have to work hard and practice.  If you want to get good grades, you have to work hard.  If you want to succeed, you have to work hard.

5.  That they can make a difference.  I know that there are days that I feel like nothing that I do makes a difference in the world.  I want our children to know that they can make a difference.  They can change the world.  They can make someone smile and light up a person's day.  They can make a difference with the environment.

What are you looking for!?

So, when you read a review what type of information are you looking for?

I know that when I am thinking about a product I want to know information like...

1.  Functionality - does it do what it is supposed to do?
2.  Does it go above and beyond it's designed function, can I do more than one thing with it?
3.  What design features does it have?
4.  What is it's price point?
5.  Is it durable?
6.  Am I buying it from somewhere with good customer service?

What else do you want to know?  I hope to be able to provide you all with the information that you are looking for in a review when I do them, so all feedback is welcome!

When in doubt, check it out!

Soon after having my son (our first born) I learned several things about being a parent.  One of the lessons that I learned, that I had no idea I would learn, was to ALWAYS look at reviews of products before buying them.  Another lesson I learned was that you do not need everything on the "What To Register For" list, although it would be nice ;)

After registering for and receiving several items that did not meet our expectations we knew that we needed to research products better before buying them.  I am not sure why this never really crossed our minds while pregnant, but I will blame it on pregnant brain.

So, what are somethings that you wish you would have researched more before buying.

What things do you think are necessary for baby?

Beah Strap Review and Giveaway - CLOSED

"Beah Straps are made with designer fabrics and are approximately 24 inches long and 1½ inches wide. Velcro is securely sewn on the inside with one side longer to adjust too many different sizes. Loop one end around your stroller bar and fasten the other end around the sippy cup. Beah Straps can save favorite toys, sippy cups or snack cups from being lost!"

I cannot count how many times Thing One has thrown his cup, toy, snack cup, etc. either losing it or just getting it dirty!  I think that the most frustrating is when we are in the car and he throws said item and then wants it back.  If he does not get it back he starts screaming, causing me to reach behind me in order to find the item!  I am so thankful to now have my Beah Strap, by Leah Beah!  I was so excited when I found out that I won a Beah Strap, but I had no idea how great of a product it was truly going to be.

Because the Beah Strap is adjustable on both ends, it can be used for many different items and in many different places.  Sippy cups, rattles, snack cups, teething rings, your keys, on car seats, on high chairs, on baby swings, on grocery carts, on strollers, on diaper bag, just to name a few!

What most impressed me about my Beah Strap is the craftsmanship!  The Beah Strap is very well made and absolutely beautiful!  Each strap is handcrafted and made of designer fabric.  I plan on buying several more of these wonderful straps in the near future (seeing as I have a two year old and a 7 month old)!!!

Lulu's in The Fluff Review and Giveaway - Closed

I came across Lulu's In The Fluff Glamour Wash on Facebook and knew that I had to try it!  I had been easy been using my normal diaper detergent (which I also love), but was starting to notice that some of my diapers where not letting go of their stick after a good washing.  I decided that given all of the rave reviews that I had seen for the Glamour Wash I would give it a chance, what did I have to lose after all.  I washed my diapers in it like I normally would (not doing a soak) and then dried them in the dryer, even though I have recently switched to line drying my diapers.  When I took my diapers out of the dryer, I was AMAZED!  My diapers smelled... like... fresh water!  I can honestly say that I had NEVER had my diapers smell so good.  I know that my diapers where stripped really well because even after I washed them again, with my normal detergent, the diapers still had that beautiful clean smell after they dried.  My hubby and I called Glamour Wash our "Miracle wash"!!!

The one downside to this product is that it is not sold at any of my local diaper shops, you have to buy it online :(  I am certainly not opposed to buying things online (sure is the norm for me these days), but I do have a tendency to put things off to the last minute and then run out of my detergent while waiting for the new one.  Otter Blotters offers Lulu's In The Fluff for $13.95 with free shipping, which you certainly cannot beat!

I know that I will certainly be buying more LuLu's In The Fluff Glamour Wash again!

Now for the GIVEAWAY!

Heiress Lulu herself has been kind enough to offer a full size bag of Lulu's In The Fluff Glamour Wash in either Naked Booty or Hardwater Unscented version to one of our readers!

There are several ways to enter this giveaway, the first of which is the only mandatory entry.  If you do not do the first entry then all of your other entries will not count.  I will draw a winner once our Facebook page has 150 100 fans :)
